Abstract

Communication and communication is one of the most basic needs and characteristics of humanity. The first and most effective of the tools people use to communicate is language. This wonderful medium whose elements are words is the cornerstone of communication. Language, which is also the translator of the world of thought and emotion, is the biggest source of learning the ideas of the addressee as well as providing the expression of thoughts. Language is not just the random pronunciation of certain sounds, it is the result of a conscious activity. This conscious and conscious existence in the language is the word existence. Vocabulary, or in other words, vocabulary is the most basic building blocks of language. The breadth of a person's vocabulary is the first factor affecting communication skills. A person's vocabulary is shaped by that person's knowledge, education level and experiences. Idioms represent a colorful and imaginative aspect of language. Many idioms symbolically describe a particular situation or idea, rather than expressing the exact meaning in a word or sentence. Using language isn't just about putting words together, it's also about using the right words in the right contexts. Word choice largely determines the impact of communication. Therefore, it is important to develop vocabulary and idioms in order to use a language effectively. Developing reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, expanding vocabulary and making an effort to learn idioms are steps taken to advance language skills. The effective and powerful use of the language is closely related to the breadth of the vocabulary and the use of idioms. The richness of the language increases the quality of communication, while the vocabulary and idioms make our expressions more effective and interesting.
