The research aims to examine the Fine Arts High School kabak kemane textbooks and the opinions of kabak kemane educators about the textbooks. For the evaluation of the course materials in the research, a "textbook evaluation form" was prepared and the current status of the textbooks was examined according to this form. This research is limited to the Fine Arts High School "9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade "instrument education violin", 9th, 10th grade "instrument education stringed instruments violin" textbooks published by the Ministry of National Education in 2019 and 8 pumpkin violin educators known to be reached in Fine Arts High School. In the study, document analysis technique was used in terms of examining the Fine Arts High School gourd violin textbooks. After the ethical approvals of the interview questions prepared by the researcher were obtained, interviews were conducted with the kabak kemane educators of Fine Arts High School on the video conferencing platform called zoom. The interview data obtained were categorized by content analysis method and presented in tables and figures.
These books were examined under 12 topics such as general information about the kabak violin, information about posture, grip, technical information, usul, metronome times, makam, terminology, taxonomy, transposition, loudness, nuance terms, position, visual materials and the number of materials, and the opinions of kabak violin educators on these topics were included. In this context, the opinions of the educators about their use of textbooks in the process of teaching the kabak violin, other resources they use other than these textbooks, subject integrity and unit order in the content of the textbooks, visual materials, makam and procedural structures, order of etudes and works, signs of bowing and ornamentation techniques on the notes, tuning system used in the education process, terminology, transposition and position information were included.
