In this research, it was aimed to detect spelling and phonology errors based on the writing texts written by students in written expression classes during the process of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The research was based on forty (40) foreign students learning Turkish as a foreign language at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER). These students were selected randomly within their own levels. Native languages of the students in the data group; Arabic, Russian, Kazakh, Turkmen and French. In writing activities, written text answers given by the instructor to the questions posed to the student were used. Turkish texts written by students at B2 and C1 levels were evaluated and analyzed according to the error analysis approach in terms of spelling and phonetic errors. The aim of the research is to determine which spelling and phonics mistakes students at B2 and C1 levels make most based on written expression examples and to contribute to the field by making suggestions based on the findings.
