Abstract
Art, by its nature, is a phenomenon that is affected by the change in society. theyare sources that bear the traces of the structure of society in the works. The artist is a developing and changing individual who lives in society and feeds on the inferences he takes from society, and he reflects his life, the characteristics and structure of the society he is in, in his works. the change in life is reflected in the artist. Artworks are the reflection of the sociological, technological, psychological and economic changes of the time. If the concept of migration left traces in the artist'slife and past during the time the artwork was produced, this can also be seen in the works produced by the artist.People have had to leave the regions where they lived for centuries for different reasons. This separation, expressed with the concept of migration, brought about a multi-faceted effect on people and space, far from uniformity. Migration has enabled the belief, thought and rules of human beings to change. This study examined the migration concept by giving examples of reflections on art in Turkey and the world.In today's contemporary art, migration takes place a lot. Concepts such as refugee, belonging, freedom, and life are important for artists to reflect the concept of migration to their work. Artists mostly focus on the effects of the causes and consequences of migration on individuals and societies. In Turkey, it is seen frequently on the agenda because of the events of migration in the art. The interdisciplinary expression that allows the creation of contemporary art understanding has also enabled migration to be addressed in all aspects. Turkey migration linked to belonging in contemporary art, space, identity, memory, alienation, counter-culture, the concept seems to be included in the practical arts.
