Abstract
Muhammad is a great prophet. That is why he has been loved and praised by Muslims for centuries. This love manifested itself both in the form of submitting to Muhammad and obeying the commands of religion, and in the form of writing literary works describing Muhammad's characteristics and virtues and expressing his superiority. Praising Muhammad and showing love for him was done both by writing poems and by writing "hilye-i şerif"s describing his physical appearance.
One of the poets who best describes the love of Prophet Muhammad in our classical literature is Nâbî. Nâbî, who has a unique style, is one of the best poets in this field. Nâbî included poems praising the Prophet Muhammad in his poetry book and expressed the greatness of the Prophet Muhammad in a literary way. Not only in classical Turkish poetry, but also in later periods, poets created works in which they dealt with the love of Muhammad. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek is another prophet-lover poet in our literature. In his poetry book titled “Çile”, Necip Fazıl included poems he wrote for the Prophet such as “Hz. Peygamber”, “Allah’ın Sevgilisi”, “Ölçü”, “O”, “Rütbe”. In addition, in some of his poems, the name of the Prophet is mentioned or references are made to him, although he does not devote the subject entirely to him. Not only the poets of classical literature but also the poets of the latest period have written poems about the love of Prophet Muhammad. This love is an important measure of the value that people give to him.
