Review Process and Editorial Independence

 Evaluation Process

Manuscripts submitted to trk Journal for publication undergo the following stages:

  1. Preliminary Review

All submissions are first examined by the editorial board in terms of compliance with the journal’s formatting guidelines, writing standards, and structural requirements. Language proficiency is also assessed at this stage.

In addition, all manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening using iThenticate software. The overall similarity rate is expected not to exceed 20%.

If necessary, authors may be asked to make corrections during the preliminary review stage. Manuscripts that fail to meet the required criteria after three evaluations are returned to the author and will not be reconsidered within the same publication period.

  1. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that successfully pass the preliminary review are evaluated under the double-blind peer review system by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Acceptance
  • Minor/Major Revision
  • Rejection

If deemed necessary, an additional reviewer may be appointed.

Editorial Independence

The editorial processes of trk Journal are conducted in accordance with the principles of academic integrity, scientific quality, impartiality, and transparency.

The final decision regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief. Editorial decisions are primarily based on the reviewers’ reports.

In cases of potential conflicts of interest involving editors or reviewers, the concerned individual is withdrawn from the evaluation process. The Editor-in-Chief ensures that the process continues in a fair and unbiased manner by making new appointments when necessary.

The journal owner, sponsors, or any affiliated institutions have no influence over editorial decisions. Editorial independence is a fundamental principle of the journal’s publication policy.
