Abstract

Migration; It is an individual's departure from one place to another in search of a dwelling for economic, political and war reasons. Perhaps the most brutal and sad one of these reasons is war. War is a highly influential event that can cause people to leave their hearts in their own lands as a result of damage to their lives, property, national and spiritual values, and cause them to set sail to other geographies as if there is no other remedy. In this context, people who left their homeland behind have set out to reach a new world. But a new world envisioned will not be better than the world left behind. The story of the Kyrgyz writer Kasımalı Bayalinov named  The Kyrgyz, like the other Turkic tribes in the Turkestan region, have passed through long and difficult paths throughout history. Starting to live under the rule of the Tsarist regime in the 19th century, the Kyrgyz faced the intention of the Tsarist Russia to divide Turkestan in 1867. The reason behind this intention is to settle the Russians in those regions and aim to create a new Russia with those lands. The Russian Tsardom, which entered the First World War with the Allied Powers, caused serious losses in the war, so the Turks in the Turkestan region were called into arms. The Turks, who rejected this call, started to revolt in 1916 and started to migrate to other parts of Turkestan. Turks began to be killed by Russian soldiers. This event, which shows the resistance and struggle of the Turks against the Russians, is called the "Urkun Incident". In this study, the reflections of migration on literature will be discussed.
